# Show State field empty

 * Hi,
 * I want to change the state field from my site. When people make an order it’s
   shown by default the same state that the shop is from. How can I make the state
   field empty by default and let the customer choose.

 * You can go to WP Admin → WooCommerce → Settings → General and set the `Default
   customer location` to either geolocate, or ‘no location by default’. That should
   help!
