So there happened to be a few long discussion about Polylang support and according to this thread it was included in the version 3.108.

Still there is no option to show all reviews independent of the front end language the user has set. In the Review plugin settings for Language and its dropdown menu the only selection is WPML Automatic. I do not have WPML installed. Why is that one shown?

The merger from this thread is not working. So how to set all reviews to be shown in the review sections?

    Thanks for trying our plugin!

WPML option also applies to Polylang because Polylang was created as a copy of WPML and both translation plugins use the same filters / actions.

Could you please share a link to the page with the problem?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I do know about Polylang being quite simliar to WMPL. The dropdown naming is nevertheless confusing exspecially if you having issues.

The reviews created with & on language A won’t show if language B is selected. I don’t post the link on a public forum and I guess I can’t pm it? Nevertheless I think the issue is clear and described. I would like to show ALL reviews independent of the language that they are written and the language set by the front end user to view the page.

    Hi,

Thank you for your additional information.

Please go to Reviews > Settings > Review Extensions tab > Enable the option Lazy Load Reviews and see if all reviews are displayed regardless of the current language.

    Thread Starter mike8040

    (@mike8040)

Well there is no such option. No Lazy load. Lazy load is the issue for showing multilingual reviews?

This option was renamed in recent versions of the plugin and now it is called ‘Visual Style’ (located on the ‘Review Extensions’ tab of the plugin’s settings).

In any case, we really need a link to have a look at the page with a problem. Please use any URL shortener service to share the link discreetly and hide it from search engines.

I would like to point to my initial question/support request as it seems the suggestions getting in the wrong directions. It is not about a lazy load or the appearance of the review form/tabel.

It is simple that I want:

The reviews created with & on language A should show also if language B is viewed.

Topic was already discussed a year ago with other users.

I had the visual style already set to “CusRev (enhanced user interface)” before I opened the thread.

    Hi,

Thank you for your additional information.

By default, our plugin supports displaying reviews on the product page from all languages with the Visual Style: CusRev (enhanced user interface). If you are familiar with coding, you can read more on the solution List of Filters
    filter hook cr_reviews_polylang_merge

If it does not work on your site, please follow this solution Troubleshooting Plugins and Themes
    to troubleshoot the issue.

Let me know how it goes.

    Thread Starter mike8040

    (@mike8040)

Now we getting in the right direction. As I said Enhanced view was already in place before this thread.

    What I have done:

filter hook cr_reviews_polylang_merge to true (even though it is default)

deactivated all plugins but Woo / CusRev / Polylang

    switched to TwentyTwenty theme

Result: No merged reviews – same issue persists. So something fishy is going on here. What is your plugin doing if language B does not share the exact same slug/url? Even though I tested with shared slug with no success.

Since the page started out with Polylang free and HyanWooIntegration products must have had a in different url.

//EDIT: Seems I found the issue. Out of curiosity I added a new review test wise. All of sudden all reviews are merged. Like a push to update table

Ok this getting frustrating with this plugin. Yes the merge happen once a review for languages B arrived. BUT only on that product. All other product that have a good amount on language A, do not shop up on the single product pages at all on language B.

Also for that one where the merge happened. The star rating above the product title is showing “1 review” but if you scroll down there are more then 10. It is correct that only 1 review for that language B exist. Right. But me as a end user this would confuse me a lot. Look what amazon does.. This does not work like that over there…

Is this behaviour wanted and how to disable this and show total star rating??

    Hi,

Thank you for your additional information.

Can you please share your product page URL? We will help you to check the issue.

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If you still require any help, please start a new forum topic.

    Thread Starter mike8040

    (@mike8040)

Well, the issue still persists. Merged reviews only get shown if a new language B review is been published. This is at least manageable with getting new reviews for language B. As I said earlier I would like to not post the affect site on a public forum. In addition to that since I have no dev errors I see no benefit or outcome with posting the url unless you get admin access. Because the reviews aren’t been generated in the first place. So a PHP function issue. They aren’t hidden by css if you think they are.
