show 'posted in' categories as static text not links

sorry, the a href reference was stripped from my original post. it should read:

I see in this line:

<?php printf( __( ‘<span class=”%1$s”>Appearing in</span> %2$s’, ‘twentyten’ ), ‘entry-utility-prep entry-utility-prep-cat-links’, get_the_category_list( ‘ ‘ ) ); ?>

there’s no ‘a href’ statement yet the categories appear as links, to the archive pages. I’m not using the archive pages (since I’m using this plugin, with good success) and so I’d like to either:

– remove the links but keep the category listing display OR
– change the ‘default’ category archive link for each category to the landing ‘page’ on which I’ve used this plugin for each category
