    Hi, I’m sorry if this is answered somewhere else, but I couldn’t figure out how to word a search in order to find anything of use.

    I just want to find a way to have an image titles to appear together with the images on the main page of my site.

    I’ve been using a plugin to automatically post from Instagram to my blog at sheriseology.com

    However, WordPress really REALLY does not like to play nice with external images as featured. So, of course, since it’s not uploaded to my WordPress site I just get post titles with no pictures on the main page since I can’t set a feature image from a URL.

    So as a workaround I’ve changed the post type of the Instagram auto-posts to “image” but now on this theme the post titles don’t show unless you click into the post, and I would really prefer the image title to show on the main page with the image.

    You can copy content-image.php in your child theme and open it and find line 37 where it says

    <?php the_content(); ?>

    Make that

    <?php the_title( '<h2 class="entry-title"><a href="' . get_permalink() . '">', '</a></h2>' ); ?>

    <?php the_content(); ?>

    Thanks!
