Basically you want to have an image/link pairing that you’d list together?
How are you setting up the images now, if at all?

Yes, it is something like image link that show some info on the same page when the user click it
I build something with image in container and add ID for the container, I used JS and CSS to hide and show the data
I didn’t assume that you were using CMB2 already, but it sounded like you were setting images somewhere somehow already.
That said, yes you could use CMB2 and group fields to set up pairings and display that information somewhere.
