Support » Plugin: A-Z Listing » Show only letters in a top header widget

  • Hello,
    thanks for this great plugin.

I would like to know if:
    1) There is a way to show only the alphabet letters. I would like to put a widget on the top header of my website with the Alphabet letters, so people can click on the letter and be directed to a page with all the companies name that start with that letter

2)how to fix this styling issues: I added the shortcode but it displays the list of posts in this way, with huge spacing.

    1) You can show the letters alone by either using the widget (which is a bit neglected and doesn’t support the full spectrum of configuration) or using the shortcode with the super secret option added that reads return="letters" (this is actually what the widget uses underneath).

    2) From the screenshot it looks like you’ve added the shortcode into a “preformatted text” area in the post or a page builder. The shortcode needs to be in either a special “shortcode” block via a page builder or in normal post content with no styling applied (i.e. not wrapped in <pre> and </pre>).

    Hello Daniel,

yes, I mistakenly put the styling.

Regarding the [a-z-listing return=”letters”] it shows only the letters with no posts… how to make it work that it displays a page for each letter with the respective posts?

E.g when one clicks on A it opens a page with posts beginning with A, when one clicks on B it opens a page with posts beginning with B etc?

Sorry, The plugin does not currently support separate pages per letter. It’s all letters or nothing for now 🙁
