Show Important WP News When Posting

    I think it’d be really cool to show at the top of the /wp-admin/b2edit.php page important WP news (like if a new version is released or a security hole discovered) so I don’t have to check this site if a new version is out (I always forget to check). Of course it would be an option in the options pages. 😉

    The IPB forum backend has a image button in the backend that appears on the first page after login that shows the status of the software. By status I mean it tells is the software installed is the latest version or not. That would be nice. Though I check the forums here pretty regularly. 🙂

    This is an interesting idea; having used CPanel for a while, I’m used to this functionality as well.
