Awesome plugin! I love it. Maybe I can't do this with the free version, but I'm trying to show a hidden or dependent field upon calculation of a parent field. I'm sure this is very doable, but can't figure out how.

Basically, I have a sum total field, that when calculated, I would like to display a hidden or dependent field.

    Any help would be great!

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi,

Yes, that's possible. Selects the calculated field, in the attribute: "Define dependencies", selects any of available conditions: Greater than, Equal to, etc., enters a value to compare, and finally select the dependent field.

For example: if your form includes a field called fieldname2, that will be visible if the calculated field's value, is greater than 10. In this case select the calculated field, in the dependencies attribute, selects the condition: "Greater than", and enter the number 10, finally select the fieldname2 in the option "If rule is valid..."

    Thanks for your reply.

I actually got this to work but I have two additional questions. By adding the conditional dependency equation, it stopped the form from displaying the calculated sum in the parent calculated field.

My second question is if this can work on a hidden field or "instructional text"? I could only get this to work on a simple field like, drop down, text field, or textarea.

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi,

I can't give you an answer to the first question without check your form, but in general, if a field is dependent to another field, if the condition is false, all equations that use the dependent field, ignore this field.

The depencencies work fine with "Instructional Text", but again, I can't tell you what is happening in your form without check it.

If you send me the URL to the page with the form included, I could give you more specific tips.

Thanks so much for your reply. I sent the URL to your contact form on your website. If there's a PM or email address I can send it to through this support forum let me know.

I have the plugin and my form working great, the only problem is that my "dependent field" is still not hidden. I spent hours last night trying to figure this out. But I can't. The form is now calculating properly.

"Comments here A description of the section goes here." is supposed to be hidden.

    Thanks again!
