• I love the plugin because it allow the viewers to see why the new post titles and that prompts them to log in but I can’t get the Show Excerpt to work. whether I have ‘Show excerpt in search?’ checked or unchecked the content below the Post title is always the ‘Please log in msg’ I customized in the settings.

At first I thought my template was using the_content() instead of the the_excerpt() and that was why it was not working but that was not the case.

If I am understanding how this plugin works and indeed have the ability to display an excerpt while keeping the content behind a log in I definitely want to implement this. Unfortunately I have both of the options boxes selected and do not get the excerpt only the custom msg.

    Please help. Thanks!

I’ve done some additional testing just to make sure I was not using the plugin incorrectly.

I have Show restricted posts in search results? and Show restricted post excerpts in search results? selected.

I have the following msg ‘To view this content, you must be a registered Scout with our Troop and logged in.’

On a post that is restricted I created a except msg specific to that post but instead of seeing that excerpt I see the default msg.

When I delete the default msg then I see no except msg (default or custom)

I’m thinking I should see the custom except related to the post if one is entered and the default msg if nothing is entered on any post that is for members only.

    Is this correct?

    Same question here. Any update?
