Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Show Event date not Post date on search

    I’ve tried applying the code suggested by Jonah at but I just can’t get it to work. The code suggestion is:

    if(tribe_is_event()) {
    echo tribe_get_start_date( $post->ID, false, ‘D. M j, Y’

    Can anyone help me please? I’m really scratching my head. To bring up the post date & not the event date when searching our site really is no use at all…

    Eg. Try searching for ‘Sunday’ at our site & see what comes up – all our Sunday services are dated 6th Feb!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey @timwarner69,

    First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
    We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual.

    Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
    We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Just to set expectations, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide support for customization.

    With that in mind, I do think you are using the correct function.The strategy is to first do the search and return both the post date and tribe date. Once that is done you can filter and sort the results and return the posts displaying only the tribe start date

    Another approach might be the following snippet:
