Show dates can not be canceled

    Hello,

    I can not cancel any shows after the last update to version 2.3.21. If I use the “cancel” link, I’ll come back to the overview, but the show will not be changed.

    I looked in the database and noticed that the status for this show was still set to “active”. I have manually set the show in the database to “canceled” for the site to display. This approach is very cumbersome, so I ask for help how I can eliminate this problem.

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Is that the link on the page where you are editing the gig? That cancel link is not to cancel the event, but to cancel the editing process of the event.

    If you want to cancel an event / gig from your listing you will need to edit it and set the “Status” dropdown to “Canceled”, then click ‘Update Show’ at the bottom.

    If you totally want to get rid of it, then you need to trash it.

    OK. Thank you.

    So the deactivation works.

    But at the bottom of the form (in the German version) is next to the button “Update Show” a link “or cancel” (in German “oder absagen”). I used it and it did not work.

    I just want to cancel (deactivate) the show, not delete it completely.

    So I think what you’re missing here are these steps from Andras’s previous reply:

    If you want to cancel an event / gig from your listing you will need to edit it and set the “Status” dropdown to “Canceled”, then click ‘Update Show’ at the bottom.

    Hello Barry,

    yes, that worked. I just wanted to say that in the German version of the link next to the button “Update Show” was not translated well and could lead to misunderstandings.

    I can not suggest a different translation because I do not know what happens when using the link.
