Well – actually I can setup a 0.1% rate for some random country where noone lives – e.g. BV.
HOWEVER – s2member is in the case of 0% tax not passing forward those fields!
And even more – if I set up a global taxrate of e.g. 10% – then I get Invalid parameters to Stripe; please contact the site owner.
(everything else equal!).
So there seems to be more s2member Stripe bugs…
(ripping my hair out, impossible how f**cked up Stripe integration is. If I’m in testing mode, accounts get created and so on, but nothing is shown in my Stripe account. So I need to test live. Testing Live I discovered that the Country/City/Postcode Fields are not passed on to Stripe — WFT – even if no tax is charged – the assumption should be to pass on all that info SO that you can later on prove to your tax authorities WHY you did not charge VAT … anyhow I don’t wan’t to use the insufficient s2member for charging VAT but octobat.com – so I need those 3 fields in any case – else Octobat cannot correctly handle neither my Invoice, nor my EU VAT reporting obligations!).
@ Felix
Stripe integration with s2Member is a pro feature. Please contact our support dept. for assistance with all things related to s2Member Pro. This way you can get answers to questions that you have along the way, and seek company assistance with any problems that you encounter. To get help with Stripe, please use: https://www.websharks-inc.com/support/?product=s2member&request_type=trouble_ticket
To clarify, we do not monitor this “community” forum closely. I see that you’ve posted several requests for assistance here. If you’re not getting the help you need, please consider using our company support center; and in fact, if your question is related to the pro version, you must use our private support system according to WP community guidelines.
Also, I see that in several posts here in the community you’ve been quick to blame our support team for problems that you’ve encountered; yet we have only 1 support ticket from your address related to fastcgi_max_temp_file_size
— from the past.
Of course you’re entitled to your opinion, but I’d appreciate it if you could contact us directly about matters that you consider serious. As our customer, if you’re having serious issues we’d like to hear about those! I look forward to receiving more information via support.
Well I don’t see why you cannot read here – I’ve just opened a Github Issue referencing here…
A plugin is not required to be supported on the forums. We generate them as a courtesy and devs are expected to keep an eye on things, but if they ask for github reports, or zen desk, or smoke signals, we allow and respect that choice.
JasWCinc, I would make a note in the main part of your plugin readme to tell people to file support requests where you like. Makes it easier for forum volunteers to say “See? They documented it!”
Will do. Thanks Mika 🙂 We had a notice like this in the README (at the top) for a while, not sure why that was removed, but we will definitely get that back in the next update later this week.
