    Is there a “standard” way to create a page and populate it with posts of my choosing? Something very similar to a category archives page, but I’m really just trying to find a way to group non-related posts onto a page. For example, say I want to create page “A” and put 4 posts on there, post-id’s 742, 1896, 23, and 9 (in that order). Assume those posts have no categories/tags in common.
    I realize I can manually add a unique category/tag to those four pages, but is there some other “standard” way? I’m still fairly new to WP, so this could easily be built-in functionality that I just haven’t come across yet.

  • You can query posts by id’s in a template

    <?php query_posts( array('post__in' => array(1033,232,143,110,12)) );?>

    Or, try xili post in post

    it lets you use shortcode to get posts in a page or post content area, also has template tag.

    Many thanks, deepbevel. xili-postinpost looks interesting, I’ll play around with it some. query_posts works great for what I was looking for.

    I’ll leave this marked “Not Resolved” for awhile to see if anyone else chimes in.
