Show Add to Cart Before Variation Selected

    Hi everyone,

    I’m looking for a solution for my site so that when on a product page that is a variable product the add to cart button is visible before a variation is selected. Then is someone hits add to cart without variation selected the page will notify them that a variation must be selected first.

    I think I’m losing alot of sales/conversions as people can’t see add to cart and then give up without purchasing!

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi @mikebyrne316,

    By default, when there’s no default variation, and no variation selected by the visitor the “add to cart” button isn’t clickable, so that should not happen:

    I’d suggest you check with your theme author to make sure this feature hasn’t been removed.

    Hi Remi, thanks for your reply. However the problem I have is that Add to Cart isn’t even visible until there is a variation selected.

    If I could have it visible but not clickable as in your example that would be perfect.

    Is there a CSS or code snippet I can add to make it function like your example?

    Then a user must select all variables for add to cart to display as in this pic

    I wish to have add to cart visible but not clickable until variations are selected as your example shows.
