• Hi,
It doesn’t seem to work to show all members of only one category (even with slug or name from the category list) [staff-directory template=list cat=xy or category=xy or category=”xy”].

The category IDs in the category list are also missing (are shown by empty array) and therefore its not possible to set a category by ID. [staff-directory template=list cat=1].

  • Can you confirm whether this is still an issues? I have the latest 1.0.2 version installed and the categories are showing their IDs and the shortcode does work to limit the categories when I use [staff-directory cat=550] for example.

Ok after weeks I found out, it just works fine.

The problem is, that the category id for each category is unknown, so I had to try. After a couple of try outs (22) I found that category id was cat=”23″ and it showed all the members in it.
Maybe that issue will be fixed.
There might be a good chance to find the cat id by looking into the sql tables for Staff Directory.

@tomhilbrig you should be able to see the category IDs easily when viewing the category list. The alternative could be to update the plugin with the option to use the slug text. That would just require an extra step in the code.
