This can happen if you delete reviews outside of the WordPress admin, or if you have previously assigned reviews to both posts and categories (due to a bug in the current version of Site Reviews).

Please also make sure that you are not assigning reviews to both categories and posts, only do one or the other.

To fix, go to the Site Reviews > Tools page and hit the “Recalculate Counts” button.

    It Works..!

    Thanks for the support.

@geminilabs Even if I “Recalculate Counts” and add a review it says 2 in the summary when the actual and the bars say 1 or 100% on rating.

@alriksson Please make sure that you are not assigning reviews to both pages and categories. There is a bug in the current version that will cause the summary counts to be incorrect if you do this. The internal review counts functionality for the summary is currently being overhauled and this will be fixed in the next version.

This may also happen if you are attempting to import 3rd-party reviews, or adding reviews in a non-standard way (i.e. not using the submission form), or if you are using a caching plugin that is not refreshing the page cache when reviews are submitted.

If you continue to experience this problem and you are not assigning reviews, please use the “Contact Support” section on the Documentation page to send the system info and console log so I can help you track down the cause.

@geminilabs Ok thanks for the explanation but this should not be the issue. I’m using summary but the summary is only as we speak on one page. Should I now make sure to add page_id to make sure it never conflicts? Since if I add the shortcode without page_id it will collect all reviews and displays correct? it does not listen to the page it is at if not specified in the shortcode?

    Reviews are unassigned by default.

[site_reviews_summary] will show the rating summary and count for all reviews.

[site_reviews_summary assigned_to=post_id] will show the rating summary and count only for reviews that have been assigned to the current page.

Please have a look at the shortcode documentation to understand how the “assign_to” and “assigned_to” shortcode options work and how to use them.

    For example:

[site_reviews_summary] Show the rating summary and count for ALL reviews
[site_reviews] Show the latest reviews, whether or not they have been assigned
    [site_reviews_form] Submit an unassigned review

    And:

[site_reviews_summary assigned_to=post_id] Show the rating summary and count only for reviews that have been assigned to the current page.
[site_reviews assigned_to=post_id] Only show the latest reviews that have been assigned to the current page
[site_reviews_form assign_to=post_id] Submit a review and assign it to the current page

Working correctly when I assign and assigned to post-id so will stick to that. Many thanks once again for the well explained. Missed the difference in assigned and assign for form and summary when I initially changed to post_id.
