• …the following issues.

I may have reached the ceiling of my code tweaking capabilities, though I’ve learned a lot from reading these forums.

    1. I learned how to disable the mobile version of my theme so the calendar in the sidebar will show.
HOWEVER — I now have a magnifying glass and those lines for mobile menus in the upper left and I can’t seem to get rid of them no matter WHAT I do. For this issue, the Magazine Basic sub-forum has nothing…

    2. By suggestion, I installed jetpack. I love it, but when I needed to hide my right sidebar in order to fit my calendar plugin in a page, my theme replaced it with my archives widget automatically. Fixing that is simply above my head. I don’t even grasp the concept of a child theme and I don’t know how to create one for just one page and make that page behave differently, even after seeing the code. Why can’t there just be a plugin..err.. is there one I’m overlooking is what I’m asking, actually.

    The site is LynnHappens.com

The calendar just may be its most important feature, and it’s looking kind of ugly. However, other calendars don’t have the nice “Happens today” Happens Soon” widgets, which is why I continue to use this one.

    Thanks in advance.
