A 10 second initial load delay. I load the website once, waiting 10 seconds about, then for the next 5 times I load the page it is fast. Then once again, a slow load. ([http://www.funkystudios.co.cc](http://www.funkystudios.co.cc)) I noticed that it is only WordPress too. I installed Drupal ([http://www.funkystudios.co.cc/drupal](http://www.funkystudios.co.cc/drupal)), and it seems to work just fine, with no slow initial load. Help? Please!! If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s). * – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems. * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F) by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Any thoughts on whether allowing icmp traffic through to run some network tools may or may not be of any benefit? Maybe some weird relationship issues between icmp and mtu? Hard to imagine it only affecting WordPress, though. I look into it using tracert and other testing tricks. That is the weirdest part though, it only affects wordpress. Also, yes the 404 error was a permalink issue.
