    Hello ShortPixel team,

I wanted to let you know about ShortPixel related warning messages on my staging site, where I have WP_DEBUG turned on. Please note that I haven’t noticed any impact on the plugin functionality, this appears to be a a purely cosmetic issue.

Sometimes, when switching to a different page in the dashboard, I can see a screen full of the following messages:

Notice: unserialize(): Error at offset 1289 of 1902 bytes in ***/wp-content/plugins/shortpixel-image-optimiser/class/db/wp-shortpixel-media-library-adapter.php on line 67

This message is repeated about 40 times, and the first two digits are different for each message:

Error at offset 1289 of 1902 bytes
Error at offset 1147 of 1811 bytes
Error at offset 1184 of 1827 bytes
Error at offset 1181 of 1824 bytes
Error at offset 1168 of 1771 bytes

and so on. I am running the latest version of WordPress with the latest version of the ShortPixel plugin, on PHP 7.1 and nginx. I do not see these messages on my production site, where the setup is the same, but WP_DEBUG is turned off.

Also, the messages above do not show up every time I go to a different page on the dashboard, just from time to time.

Let me know if there is anything else I can provide to help dig into this.

    Kind regards,

    Robert

    Hi Robert,

Thanks for the heads up! I think I know why and made a fix in our code, after testing this will be included in the next release.
