Shortpixel “File does not exist”

    We have recently updated shortpixel on a website thats been using it fine for years in combination with the “Humanmade S3 Uploads” plugin: https://github.com/humanmade/S3-Uploads

    After the update however were not seeing these in the shortpixel column of the media library.

    Is this an issue your aware of and how can I go about getting this working again or debugging the issue?

    Hi @gsc89,

    ShortPixel Image Optimizer is only compatible with WP Offload Media when it comes to S3 uploads. Other plugins have not been tested, so I would say it’s normal to see this kind of issues.

    I recommend you switching to WP Offload Media to have full support for your S3 uploads.

    Ok well that is not happening, Humanmade S3 uploads is a massively popular FREE plugin we have used for years and will continue to use across all of our wordpress websites.

    We will either be downgrading to an older version of shortpixel and if that doesn’t work going forward we will be removing the plugin and using another solution thanks for confirming your stance on this.

    Hello @gsc89 and thanks for bringing this to our attention!

    Indeed my colleague said we haven’t fully tested our plugin with other S3 Uploads plugins, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we won’t do it in the future 🙂

    In order to ease the process, can you please tell us what is the last version that still works fine with the Humanmade S3 Uploads plugin?

    I know it’s been a while and the good news is that we have a version that aims to bring support for the “Humanmade S3 Uploads” plugin. Here’s where you can download a development copy from:

    Please note this is still a DEV version and has not been fully tested and therefore it is NOT PRODUCTION READY. I’m sharing this version here to gather feedback and check that the integration we added works as you would expect it to work. I strongly suggest testing it on a stage/dev/testing site only!!

    Version 5.3.0 of our plugin contains the necessary integration for the S3 Uploads plugin to work correctly now.
