    When logged in, the WordPress short cut menu (the upper bar) drops down behind the header when visiting the site. This is quite annoying as the menu to log out is also behind it.

  • Hi @krsi78,

    Sorry for the late response.

    Are you still facing this issue? If yes, please provide us with a link to your site, and a screenshot of the issue, so we can check further.

    Hi @danamv,

    I’m still facing this issue, even after upgrading to the latest version of Neve (2.10.1), see https://imgur.com/ucdGHYt, where I hovered over my username but no menu is displayed. The same applies for all menu entries. I have to click the website name to get back to the back-end to allow proper log off.

    @krsi78,

    Thank you for the clarification.

    Could you try to temporarily activate the default WordPress theme to check if the issue persists?

    This seems like an issue not related to the theme but WordPress installation itself so I want to confirm this by asking you to try it. Thanks!

    I’ve checked by switching to Twenty Twenty-One.
    Using that theme the menu drops down as expected.
    To be complete: I’m using Neve Child, but I’m facing the same with Neve itself.

    @krsi78,

    Can you share the URL of your website? Maybe there are some weird z-index values placed for the header.

    Thanks!

    The website URL is https://www.selfstorage-sint-jansberg.be.
    Feel free to let me know if I can check some things myself (when logged in).

    Hi @krsi78,

    Please try adding the following code into customizer -> Additional CSS:

    .menu_sidebar_dropdown .header--row {
        position: relative;
        z-index: -1;
    }

    Please let us know if the issue persists afterward.

    Adding the code solves the issue.
    Thank you!

    I’m sorry, but this causes the ‘normal’ menus no longer to render. I had to reverse the ‘fix’.
