shortcodes with post_id

I am using this shortcode to display the star rating form [mr_rating_form post_id=1438] and this shortcode to display the result [mr_rating_result post_id=1438] I see the entries in the database table when i submit the rating but the result always shows “No rating results currently available.” these are both on a page whose id is not 1438 not sure if that matters.
