Support » Plugin: WP Accessibility » shortcodes / widget / custom button

  • Good evening all.

i would like to know if its possible for me to use a shortcode/widget/script that allows me to add 2 horizontal buttons with custom text like:

High contrast view ¦ Larger Text

under the banner of beta.theknightsofmalta.com where they would trigger the same effect as the side panel.

Yes, you can do that. The shortcode & widget version of the toolbar has to be enabled in the WP Accessibility settings, but once it is, you can add it anywhere, and it’ll have text based labels. The labels aren’t editable, but they’re similar to what you’re describing.

for some reason i was not able to replicate them horizontally, but just vertically, would it be possible for single feature shortcodes or a call to a specific trigger with html code to allow visual editing of the button?

You would have to change to the horizontal using custom CSS; this is the same basic structure as the toolbar, but without the CSS.
