# Shortcodes Ultimate Breaks HTML Comments

 * Hi,
 * I’m currently using Shortcodes Ultimate version 3.7.0 and, while it’s an excellent
   plugin, it appears to be creating some weird issues if you use HTML comments (
   e.g. `<!-- some comment here -->`).

   sure enough, it seems that this is true.
 * If I disable Shortcodes Ultimate, HTML comments work fine. With the plugin enabled,
   the plugin seems to be converting the two dashes followed by the right chevron(`--
   >`) into the HTML entity of &`#8211>`.
 * Is there a fix for this? It would be great if there is – Shortcodes Ultimate 
   is excellent and make light work of a lot of jQuery functionality. It would be
   a shame if I had to find another plugin to do this…

 * Just found the disable custom formatting option. Seems to do the trick…
