 * Hi,
 * I’m trying to use WP E-commerce to add products to my store, but not to make
   a new storefront. For that reason, I need to use the Products shortcodes. When
   I look at the Products page, I don’t see any shortcodes I can use attached to
   my products.
 * Where can I find shortcodes? At this time, when I click on “view product” all
   I get is my homepage and nothing else.
 * Any help appreciated.
 * Thanks,
    Aarti [http://www.healthovers.com](http://www.healthovers.com)

 * Same problem here.
 * The Product pages seem to be outside the usual page organisation. I installed
   Get Page IDs plugin but that does not find the product pages.
 * It seems cantankerous to provide a shortcode that uses the page ID and then make
   the page IDs invisible!

 * For sure! So far, I have found no solution but have been inquiring about it.
   I’ll let you know if something works, and I’d love to hear if you stumble across
   something.

 * The hard way.
    On the product page use View Source in your browser to see the
   source code. Then Find in the browser to find product_id.
 * This will give you the number – but incredibly laborious.

 * Hi guys,
 * Sorry there has been some confusion.
 * Here is where the shortcode button is in the Editor Toolbar (the credit card
   button on the right.) – [http://cl.ly/image/0q0r43170T07](http://cl.ly/image/0q0r43170T07)
 * Here is what clicking that produces – [http://cl.ly/image/0G0f0n2E1117](http://cl.ly/image/0G0f0n2E1117)
 * Here’s the code produced in one configuration – [http://cl.ly/image/3o3I2v1s1Y2B](http://cl.ly/image/3o3I2v1s1Y2B)
 * If you want to get a post’s product ID – go to that post in your WordPress admin
   area and look at the “post_id” in the URL. The ID is listed there. Something
   like site.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=218&action=edit (218 would be the post ID).

 * Justin,
    Many thanks for your response. I’ve just taken a quick look and can
   see where the confusion arose. I certainly didn’t look any further after finding
   an icon that looked vaguely like a credit card and opened up with shortcodes.
   That looks like a comprehensive solution – once the user is aware that it exists.
   Maybe a little more help and some pointers in the Documentation would be useful?
 * Regards

 * Hi,
 * That’s helpful to know where to get shortcodes. In my case, I tried inputting
   the product shortcode (with correct i.d.) into a blank page, and when trying
   to preview the page nothing showed up–only my landing page.
 * Also, when I go into Products from WPAdmin, and then click on a product itself,
   I see that I have created the page but no preview is available of that product.
   Once again, when I click on Preview I just get the landing page. Any thoughts?

 * Nevermind. I just found out that the last issue I posted on this thread is not
   coming from WP E-commerce. Rather, it’s an issue with my WP design template.
 * Thanks for all the previous responses, they are helpful.
