Support » Plugin: Custom Product Tabs for WooCommerce » Shortcodes became unusable

  • Resolved Verdi

    @liljimmi Hi Tracy,

Only just now noticed that shortcodes get escapes after that last update, making them unusable. Sadly, this is a big problem for our current project. It heavily relies on your plugin, with Elementor shortcodes in them.

    ### Example

    [elementor-template id=”3558″] becomes [elementor-template id=\”3558\”]

Not after using your plugins “Save tabs”-button, but after clicking the “Update” or “Submit”-button for saving a product.

    ### Request

Please look at this problem before Juli 10. That’s when we need to go live. I’ll be more then happy to buy premium. Please contact me if you have any further questions.

    Hey Verdi,

I’ll test this now. Do you mean this started happening after the last WooCommerce update or the last plugin update? Either way, if it’s reproducible I’ll get it fixed soon.

    Thanks for all your support,

    Hi @yikesitskevin,

I’m not sure which one to be honest, I was too busy on other tasks. Please let me know if you need a temporary admin login. If so, email me on form the address you want added.

Thank you very much for responding so quickly, much appreciated!

I’m not able to reproduce this. I am on WooCommerce v3.1.0 and Custom Product Tabs v1.5.15. Also, the save function we use is identical for the “Save Tabs” button and the WooCommerce/WordPress “Publish/Update” button. Can you please test a couple different scenarios (e.g. a few different shortcodes, a few different products, typing in the shortcode manually, copy&pasting the shortcode).

    Let me know!

It seems we responded at the same time! Can you try running through a few of the scenarios I described? If the shortcodes still aren’t working I will email you and continue from there.

Already did. Now also with different shortcodes and typing them manually. There is no difference.

When using “Save tabs”, no problem. With “Publish/update” the backward slashed are added again.

Would an Admin login help you help me?

    Hi @ver3,

It appears that this an issue with WooCommerce itself. It has been fixed in master and a new version will be pushed today – Hopefully this will fix it.

    Thank you,

This fixed it, thank you for the follow up. I really appreciate it.
