Testing this super plugin for my font-related EDD site (demo stage) gave me the idea to feature a menu entry labeled “On the Drawing Board” that would automatically generate a page illustrating specimens of typefaces designated “coming soon.”
The shortcode suggested by mireillesan would be even better(!) to display a narrated page introducing upcoming EDD products for patrons who (eagerly!) look forward to purchasing them.
I also “second the motion” by andrevanberlo to enable eMail “subscriptions” for updates when these products become available for sale.

I’ll add it to the to-do list. I should be able to filter the existing [downloads] shortcode and add a new parameter to it. This would allow you to show just the downloads that are coming soon. Stay tuned!
