[Resolved] Shortcode parameter to force HD?

    Hi there.

I am trying to get this plugin to work in a way where it defaults to HD, when playing the video in the lightbox.

I read an earlier thread from four months ago where the moderator said:

Hi, The hd option as a URL parameter works when you are viewing the video on YouTube. It doesn’t work if you are playing it from your site.

But the thing is, at least in 2014 I know I can add this tag

    &vq=hd1440

…in an <EMBED> code – and for sure a Youtube video will play in HD on my (or any) site. It doesn’t have to be right from Youtube.

Is it simply the case that this plugin doesn’t support a special short code parameter to execute this exact same behavior?

I’m LOVING the plugin so far; this would be the icing on the cake. Any prompt advice is appreciated. (I saw some rumblings online that there might be something like HD=1 – but that does not seem to be working…

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, video lightbox does not use embed code. I was referring to hd=1 with a direct link to the YouTube video.

If you are looking for advanced YouTube options please try our Lightbox Ultimate plugin.
