    please add following shortcode options:

    – [portfoliopage cat=”1,23,10″] portfolio categories
    – [portfoliopage posts=”1, 2, 5″ limit=”8″] shows newest posts with cat ID, if none all newest posts
    – [portfoliopage pages=”2,100″] pages with IDs

    in settings for grid display:

    – show excerpt until “more” tag if it exists
    – show post meta
    – enable “show more” button for posts
    – enable infinite scroll for posts
    – enable label to show on hover (over thumbs)

    in settings for post display:

    – hide featured image in gallery (that way we could use icons and they would not show in gallery)
    – use [gallery] shortcode for gallery display (that way we could use many different [gallery] plugins or theme gallery layouts

    thanx

    Hello yerb

We have just released a3 Portfolio Shortcodes add-on plugin that incorporates almost all of that. You can read about it and see it action here.

    re this
    – show excerpt until “more” tag if it exists

    and re this
    – show post meta

For the Item Expander and the item post that feature already exists – please see this section of the docs under the Description title.

In The latest version 1.2.0 we added 2 new features for showing the first part of the description on the item card.

    * Feature – Added option to show the first part of the Item description text on item cards. Description shows on footer of the card.
    * Feature – Added ‘Description Height’ feature to set number lines of description text that shows on item cards. Option is 1 – 6 lines

    re this
“- enable “show more” button for posts”

As pointed out above the More tag of WordPress is already supported in the Item Posts. Making that show as a button is really a function of the theme style or a plugin as it is a core WordPress function.

    re this:
    – enable infinite scroll for posts

I do not know what you mean here? Our Plugin does not use Page Numbers or infinite scroll for loading the Portfolio Item cards – Loading is done via Lazyload which is built into the plugin.

    Re this:
“- enable label to show on hover (over thumbs)”

The plugin supports showing the Item Title by hover over the image or show under the image. When you say thumbnails I am assuming you mean the Item Card feature image? Or are you talking the Gallery Thumbnails?

    re both of these
“- hide featured image in gallery (that way we could use icons and they would not show in gallery)”
“- use [gallery] shortcode for gallery display (that way we could use many different [gallery] plugins or theme gallery layouts”

The standard image gallery that is oin the plugin is built with all the hooks and filters available so that other developers can make any sort of gallery they want – There is no way that any gallery can be added by shortcode – The templating and function structure is complex – the Gallery must show in the expander and on the item page and also with full mobile browser support.

Yerb we have build the core Portfolio script so that additional features and functions can be added by plugins – there is no limit to what features can be added by way of an Add On plugin (child Plugin).

So far we have built 4 –
    1. Portfolio Isoptope Sort
    2. Portfolio Dynamic Stylesheets (for non coders)
    3. Portfolio Item Switcher
    4. Portfolio Shortrcodes

Later this week we will be launching a public Github repo for the plugin. As full open source code that will give other developers open access to the source code. It is our hope that other developers will contribute to the maintenance and improvemnet to the source code.

We are also hopeful other devs will build Add On plugins to add more features to the a3 Portfolio plugin?

Hope all of that information helps you and thank you for your interest. Steve
