# Shortcode only shows one document per category

 * I want to add documents by using a shortcode like [dg category=folders]
    For 
   adding categories to documents I’m using the plugin: WP Media Category Management
   In the settings of that plugin I’ve set it to use the default taxonomies (because
   the MCM categories don’t work with Document Gallery).
 * But the shortcode only shows one document. I’ve also created a document gallery
   first to be sure all thumbs were created, but that doesn’t help either. So what
   can be the problem here?

 * Hi Erwin,
 * If you update your shortcode to `[dg id=-1 category=folders]`, does that resolve
   the issue?
 * The `id=-1` attribute is required if the attachments you wish to include are 
   not attached to the page/post where the shortcode is being used.
