Support » Plugin: Country Based Restrictions for WooCommerce » shortcode notice not appearing for first time visitors

    Hi,

The issue I’m facing is that I put the shortcode on the product page under the title (product can’t be purchased from EU countries), but it doesn’t show when a user first visits the product page. He can click on the buy button, is being taken to the payment page, and after selecting the country in the payment page he get’s an error notification (product removed from cart.)

If the visitor now goes back to the shop, then everything works fine (the shortcode notice displays properly and the button is not clickable).

So it seems like the IP location is not detected, or I’m not sure what’s wrong…

If I tick “force geolocation” then nothing is working, anyone can buy the product even from restricted countries.

Nobody is a logged in user here, it’s a simple webshop for selling ebooks, we don’t create accounts for the users.

How do I display the “you can’t buy this from the EU” notification right away when a visitor first hits a product page?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, this depends on the visibility settings, set the visibility to visible but not purchasable (in the plugin settings)
Also, if you want to display the country restriction widget to your customers on any page and let them choose their shipping country on any page, you can upgrade to the Country Restrictions Pro
