Shortcode not working inside text widget

    How would I add the shortcode inside a text widget? I’m unable to use the actual “Event List” widget in the list of widgets, so I need to add the shortcode in a text widget around other code.

    I’m also having trouble with it inside a general sidebar widget as well.
