Could you confirm for us if you see the shortcode when you are acutally unsubscribing from your MailPoet list? As clarified in the docs, the unsubscribe page would work when the required specific data from the URL parameters are available to render it correctly (data that’s only present during the actual unsubscribe process).
Thanks for the screenshot. The short code is correct and set up correctly.
You can setup a subscription page by following the instructions to create a subscription form and place it in a page of your choice to make it a subscription page.
Yes, you can select Shortcode & other option from Form Editor > Form Placement panel when creating a subscription form. More information about it here: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/403-types-of-forms
So there is no form I could save to a page, as I cannot create a form in the first place… As I only want to use the shortcode option so i can placwe the form where ever I like.
Because any section of the site can use blocks, the form option to insert via blocks works anywhere. Consider it like a shortcode; the only change is that it’s inserted via the subscription form block instead of a shortcode.
ok I have used blocks and I can now insert a subscription form, the reason I was getting confused is that you system only offer ‘insert here’ options, which is fine, unless you want to insert some where else.
That is why I was asking about shortcode, as that allows placement anywhere.
For example the test form I have used is a ‘pop up’ which is not what we want, but it does display on the page correctly, so no worries.
Hi @wood1e , Thank you for confirming that the subscription form block works as expected and that you are able to insert it on the page and get it working as expected. The subscription form block is a replacement for the shortcode.
I understand how these blocks can be confusing if you were expecting a shortcode instead. Glad we were able to clarify and help. Thanks for marking this thread resolved.
Best wishes with your subscription form customisations.
