• Hello,

    I just spotted this bug.

I use the shortcode [wpsos_year] in my theme footer like this:

    ©2018 – [wpsos_year] – …

I have a multi-language site so I use Polylang. My default language is English.

This excellent plugin is working very well on all pages, blogs, etc.

Except when I have a post that exists in both languages French and English. The shortcode only displays for my French post, not for my English post.
    This means I see:
    French version of the post: ©2018 – 2020 -…
    English version of the post: ©2018 – [wpsos_year] –

When I have a post ONLY in one of the languages, it displays fine even for English. But when I have a post in BOTH languages, here I have a bug.

Is this plugin compatible with Polylang or WPML? Can you do a test on your side please?

    Many thanks,

    Didier.

    Hey,

Sorry for the delay and thanks for reaching out and reporting the issue.

Unfortunately, currently, there has been no support added for Polylang, we’d need to check why isn’t it working in this case. We can look into this but it might take some time, sorry!

Meanwhile, could you please send a link to the example of a link that is not working?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Well, that’s strange. I wanted to post you here the generated HTML code as due to country redirection, you will not be able to see the website.

Here is the HTML code for the working footer in French:
    <p class="copyLine">©2018 - [wpsos_year] - Debbaut.Solutions, Tous Droits Réservés</p>

    The English non-working version:

    <p class="copyLine">©2018 - [wpsos_year] - Debbaut.Solutions, All Rights Reserved</p>

How come that the HTML code is the same, but on my screen, I see a different rendering? I have no cache plugin installed except CSS Autoptimize plugin.

Any idea why I see the shortcode in my HTML code for both languages, but the rendering is different. That’s strange no? Is the view of a page in a broswer different than asking for the html source code in the same broswer? I never saw that before..

    Thanks for any help.

    Didier.
