I’ve used WP Auto Terms [my_terms_of_service_and_privacy_policy] shortcode in the past on another website to add the ToS and Privacy Policies to a custom page that I setup. Today, it still works great on the site. But when I tried to install WP Auto Terms on another website today, the [my_terms_of_service_and_privacy_policy] doesn’t display the ToS and PP pages. Instead, it outputs “Terms and Privacy Policy are coming soon. Configure this plugin’s settings.” on the page. When I click on ‘Configure this plugin’s settings’, it opens a page that says: “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” As far as I can tell, all the WP Auto Terms Settings have been configured — all fields have been filled in. What else could I be missing that’s causing the shortcode to not output the ToS and PP text like it does on my other website?

If you installed WP AutoTerms from a version higher than 2 (2.1.6, for example), the legacy shortcodes will not work.

The legacy shortcodes are only available for the 1.8.2 version or if you updated from 1.8.2 to >2.0.0 version.

A workaround for this would be to install 1.8.2 on your website (download it from SVN and upload it in the plugins directory) and then just update it to 2.1.6

    OK, thanks for the suggestion!

    That method isn’t working 🙁

Please contact us with more details (website link, plugin version etc.) You can do so through WP AutoTerms > Contact.

The method should work as long as you updated from 1.8.2 to any 2+ version. Otherwise, the shortcode won’t be available.

Shortcodes are not working for me either. I have tried version 1.8.2 and it worked fine. When I upgraded to version 2.2.1, I got the

“Terms and Privacy Policy are coming soon. Configure this plugin’s settings.”

    message.

We’re publishing version 2.2.2 with support for shortcodes later today.

Please check in a few hours & download the latest updates once it’s pushed to your website.
