# Shortcode not working

 * Hey,
 * I tried to include an event via shortcode on an otherwise blank page. I’m on 
   avada.
 * All I get is [event post_id=”correctpostidinserted”]My selected event is called#
   _EVENTNAME[/event]
 * “My selected event is called #_test”
 * Any idea?

 * Does it work if you use another post_id? Are you sure you’re using the post_id
   and not the event_id?

 * I use the ID which is in the URL when previewing the event, it says postid=. 
   Since I’m using permalinks I don’t know any other way to see the id.

 * Do you mean it says somethig like _post=559&action=edit_ ?
