# Shortcode not displaying in custom loop

 * I’m trying to echo the shortcode out in a custom WP Query loop, but it doesn’t
   display, however if I echo out the shortcode in the standard single page/single
   post loop it does display. Any idea what’s going on?

 * Hi thank you for using YASR!
    If you’re using YASR outside the [standard loop](https://codex.wordpress.org/The_Loop)
   you must be sure that the shortcode is in a point where the [get_the_ID](https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_the_ID)
   function could work.

   the shortcode in a custom loop with a get_the_ID parameter?
