Shortcode in shortcode – multiple parents

Hi all,

Im working on a Google Maps Plugin which will basicly include everything. From drawing Circles and Polygons to adding custom markers and building/saving Maps in the backend.

But my idea was to have a map shortcode with a few attributes for the map, but have shortcodes INSIDE this ‘parent’ shortcode to handle the markers.

My question is, how can I have the shortcode function of the subShortcode recognize which parent it is in?

(NB I’ve built the Plugin in a way there can be multiple maps on one page)
