I was just curious if there was any shortcode for lesson navigation.

The “student” has to go through the following navigation to view a lesson:

Dashboard -> My Courses -> View Lessons in order to navigate to the different lessons.

I am trying to include a Namaste shortcode in the current lesson that can be clicked to open the following lesson (to avoid revisiting the “Dashboard”, then “My courses”, then “View Lessons” each time a new lesson needs to be selected)

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!

As you are the admin who publishes the lessons you can simply include the link to the next lesson. There is no need of a shortcode for this.

I would like this functionality as well. It’s fine to manually enter the link to the next lesson, but I keep hoping there is an easier way, as I currently need to create each individual lesson and then go back to edit each lesson with the new URL’s. Having a shortcode or ability to add a “next lesson” would be a valued feature.

Check the shortcodes in the help page, many of these things are now available.

Thanks for the super quick response. Are you referring to the help page here? http://namaste-lms.org/help.php I don’t see mention of shortcodes. It’s probably right in front of my face, but I can’t see it. Thanks

Found it here! https://github.com/wp-plugins/namaste-lms Thanks! [namaste-mycourses] and [namaste-course-lessons] It works great. Thanks for the great plugin

I meant the help page inside your Namaste menu, but you found it anyway 🙂

I can get the lessons to show display on the course page, but on each individual lesson the short code seems to do nothing – even when I try using the variations for lesson status. It just renders
LESSON STATUS in text, but no variables. So strange, and I’m not sure what to look for.

When you say something doesn’t work please provide URL so we can see it. There is no way I could guess the answer.

An example is here, but it’s inside a member site so many be hard to access. I’ve made this specific page open to all views for the time being, just in case

I went there, signed up, checked the two lessons and saw no “LESSON STATUS” anywhere.
When requesting free help you should be really specific about what we should do to see your problem. Right now I see no problem at all.

Can this be opened in a new forum post prasunsen? My work email is getting lots of replies for this.

Sorry, I have no moderator privileges. Loralee, if you still have problems please open a new thread. I will not reply here.
