# Shortcode for Edit Subscription

 * What is the shortcode that I need to create a custom “edit subscription” page?[
   wysija_page] and [mailpoet_page] and [mpoet_page] – don’t work. Thank you.

 * It should be the `[wysija_page]` shortcode. Also, make sure that the option `
   Subscribers can edit their profile` is activated on the Advanced tab.

 * Well unfortunately, when I use that shortcode, just the shortcode displays:
 * [http://panopticnews.com/gatewaygazette/subscription-update/](http://panopticnews.com/gatewaygazette/subscription-update/)
 * Any thoughts? I’m using WP 4.7.2 in a multi-site environment and Thrive Themes.
 * And yes “Subscribers can edit their profile” is checked off.

 * Also, I’ve tried this shortcode with Twenty Sixteen Theme and the Pique Theme
   as well as several of the Thrive Themes and it’s not working on any custom page.
   It is still working on the MailPoet default page, but that’s not a page I can
   edit and add my own text to.
 * For my main site I’ve switched it back to your default page for now, but the 
   link above still demonstrates how the shortcode isn’t working.
 * I’ve also deactivated all plugins to confirm that there is no plugin conflict.
 * So it definitely appears that there is something broken with the shortcode when
   applying it to a custom page.

 * Just to be clear, the shortcode will only work if the page is accessed through
   a newsletter link or via the “Preview” links on the Settings page for those pages.

 * Dear [@wysija](https://wordpress.org/support/users/wysija/),
 * it seems a widely assumption about using this shortcode [wysija_page] as custom
   page is to caused by the demand for providing such a page to our subscribers,
   where they can edit their subscription **anytime** and **from anywhere**, not
   only after clicking on the link provided in his newsletter-confirmation-email.
 * When the subscriber is browsing my site and then decides that he wants to cancel
   his subscription or even subscribe to a new list, it would be more convenient
   for him to visit this his profile-page instantly via a page that would be linked
   in sidebar or even the navigation-menue.
 * Prior to purchasing MailPoet Premium I really need to know if there already is
   a workaround for providing such a page, or if this is something that you will
   release in the near future.
