I’d like my non-html client to be able to install a horizontal rule in View mode. I installed Shortcode Exec PHP to create a shortcode, however, I don’t know enough php to set this up.

Can someone help me set the shortcode so that my client can type <hr> from View Mode and a horizontal line will appear.

The TinyMCE Advanced plugin will let you add an HR button to the standard set of editing buttons.

vtxyzzy, thanks. I’ve installed the TinyMCE plugin. Now what? How do I add the HR button?

Go to Admin->Settings->TinyMCE Advanced. Drag the ‘Horizontal Rule’ button up to one of the toolbars above and drop it where you want it.

You should hover the pointer over the rest of the buttons to see if some of them might be useful.

Click ‘Save Changes’ when you are done.

Thanks so much. For some reason, when I first installed it, I couldn’t find that settings page. After you pointed it out, goodness, everything’s right there! Thanks. Pretty slick plugin!
