# Shortcode [event_category] doesnt work for me

 * Hi, I’m just trying to deal with the categories. I would like to create pages
   with the shortcodes on which only the created categories are displayed.
 * Even if I take the shortcode from the example with a suitable category [jazz]
   and create a suitable category and insert the code in the appropriate field in
   Divi, nothing at all is displayed.
 * The corresponding page is unfortunately still under construction and currently
   not accessible via the Internet.

 * I found the same problem. Try using the event category ID instead of the event
   category slug. I found that works.
 *     ```wp-block-code
       [event_category category=381]The Jazz Category has these upcoming events: <br>#_CATEGORYNEXTEVENTS[/event_category]
       ```
