Shortcode element id not working

    Hello,

    I currently have a banner header with Genesis enews widget I’m wanting to replace with MC4WP, as I don’t like the redirect to Mailchimps website.

    I setup a new form (not displayed as my site is live) and I added an element id to the shortcode as per the documentation, and then I hooked it into wp_head in Genesis.

    The element id is not applying. I chose form-banner and tried to style it, and its not working.

    Any suggestions?

    what do you mean with “hooked into head”?: How exactly does that look / work?

    Are you executing php code, like do_shortcode() or are you able to just put a shortcode there or can you use normal wordpress widgets?
