# shortcode doesn't work on homepage

 * We used the [skipto] shortcode on a post and it works perfectly however, when
   the blog post was featured in the homepage the links or [skipto] shortcode doesn’t
   work.
 * What’s the best thing to do to make it work on the homepage?

 * Hey ivyxtine, sorry that things didn’t work out as expected.
 * The plugin should work for posts on the main page, however there is one thing
   that may be causing your problem. Pop over the plugin settings in the admin page(
   Settings > Skip to Timestamp) and make sure the **Link only on singular posts/
   pages** checkbox is **unchecked**. By default it’s checked and will cause the
   behaviour you’re seeing.
