    Hi,

    Could you plase help me with a strange issue?

    I have installed Modula Lite in wp 5.0.2. I have it on the dashboard, but
    1) Modula does not appear in the editor
    2) copying the shortcode messes up my site: wp can not succesfully save it or give a preview

    I have tested NextGEN, Envira, Supsystic, they all work but I would really prefer Modula.

    Thank you for reaching out to us!
    You need to add Modula’s shortcode in a shortcode block, like so: https://gyazo.com/d68a5cb8139e54715f64d273f82579d3
    Have you done it like this and it still does not work?

    Could you please add the shortcode in a test page/post and send us the url here so we can investigate?

    Thanks for the prompt reply.
    Yes, I have copied it to a shortclode block.
    I have created the gallery and used the shortcode on the right:

    I have copied it to the shortcode block but wp can not upload it (there is “unsuccessful upload” in red). WP could not generate preview. I tried to publish it, without success: https://gyazo.com/2ec13847f0ebcf66e8911a9525c8166e

    If I leave the page it I can not enter anymore, I have to delete it.

    This is the url where it should be: http://agneskantor.com/works/ but it is only a previous state.

    Could you please let us know what theme and plugins are you using alongside Modula so we can try to replicate this on our end?

    Dear Mihaela,

    I am using oceanwp as a theme. Plugins are: Elementor 2.3.8 (turned on) and Contact Form 7 5.1.1 (turned off), Ocean Extra 1.4.3 (turned off).

    I have tested Modula lite with OceanWP and Elementor and it works as it should.

    We have investigated this issue and it seems like several users are experiencing this (users that are not using Modula), and it seems to be caused by WP 5.0/Gutenberg.

    We cannot seem to replicate the issue on our end, but we will do our best to look for a solution for a next update.

    Dear Mihaela,

    Thank you for the input and support.

    I have tried all the suggested solutions (installing SSL, resaving permalinks, checking for raw data posting, installing the old editor, deactivating all the plugins) but no success. Aside from Modula content everything else works.
    When do you plan the next update? I have to install another gallery plugin now but I really would like to use Modula if this is fixed.

    Something more to add:
    Interestingly if I activate the previous editor the content can be saved and published, the page does not crash but the shortcode does not seem to work. I have the header and the sidebar, but not the gallery.

    Thank you for giving those a shot!
    From what we can tell this seems to be caused by Gutenberg.
    However, because it is an isolated issue that only happened in your case and one more it is difficult to find a solution for it.

    I have opened a ticket for our development team regarding this support thread and they will investigate further. I do not have an ETA for when this will be solved – it depends on whether our developers are able to replicate the issue or not.

    I am really sorry we couldn’t get to the bottom of this!
