Hi, I checked your site and for some unknowing reason your theme seems to be adding a “” in front and at the end of the shortcode. I saw this while using Google Chrome developer tools. However if you view the page source there is no “” added to the shortcode. So, I am wondering if this is how Google Chrome interprets shortcodes.
Also your mp3 URL in the shortcode is not using your SSL certificate. You need to add https://. Currently it is set to http://.
Did you by any chance update a plugin or your theme prior to this issue? You might like to try the following. Delete the shortcode and re-type it again. See if this helps in any way.
I also carried out a test using your shortcode in my dev site and it works for me. I am running WordPress 6.2.1 and PHP 8.2.4.
Kind regards.
Hi there,
Thank you for the swift reply. I have added the https but this has no effect. I can see the extra “” in Chrome but the audio player doesn’t work on the home page in any browser. I have added the shortcode multiple times without success. To me it looks like the plugin isn’t loading on the home page any more.
Hi, for testing purposes, try adding the shortcode to a test page. There might be an issue with your home page and our plugin.
Kind regards.
Hi there,
Yes, there was an issue with the home page and the plugin. I stated in both my posts that the plugin works fine on every page except the home page. However, having updated WordPeres the plugin is now working on the home page so its fixed now.
