  • Resolved lukegackle

    I have contacted the developer directly and I have been waiting for a month now for a response so I thought I’d post my unresolved issue here.

    The Issue:
    When using the [was-this-helpful] shortcode, it seems to break out of the column/row structure that my theme uses, by breaking the rows and/or columns, it makes the background row cover the whole page and it also makes none of the links on the page clickable, you can see a live demo of the problem on my testing site to better understand the issue here:

    It seems to be the shortcode itself that is actually breaking the site, the code it generates is perfectly fine and valid.

    What I’ve tried:
    I’ve done some research into plugin and short code errors and I’ve tried the following.

    • Updating my theme
    • Updating WordPress
    • Disabling all other plugins

    My Temporary Workaround:
    As a workaround to this problem until a solution is found I have copied all the code that the shortcode generates and pasted it into a html block in my posts, its a very tedious process as you have to manually change the post id, title, and url in the HTML every time, both for the yes and no buttons but it works for now.

  • The developer has finally replied and discovered the problem in the plugins code which will be fixed in the next update.

    For reference the following are the changes that were made to resolve the issue:

    Change ob_clean() in was-this-helpful-pro/classes/class.public.php to ob_end_clean()

    Plugin Author Flipper Code

    This issue was in pro version, not in the lite version because we don’t support multiple templates in the lite version.
