 * is there a way to display just like a snippet of the article instead of the entire
   topic – to limit the size of the main page?
 * when i post a new topic – or blog – it shows the entire article… can i set it
   somewhere or easily add a feature to my custom layout to do this?

 * Couple ways:
 * 1. Replace [the_content()](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_content)
   with [the_excerpt()](http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/the_excerpt) in
   your template(s).
 * 2. Use the ‘more’ quicktag in your posts:

 * the easy way to limit the length of the summary is by inserting the <!–more–>(
   just as it is) command in your posts where you would like the summary to stop.
