Short Description Vs Long Description – SEO Issue?

    Hi I have searched everywhere for the answer, I hope someone can help here.
    When I input information into the long description I then copy an excerpt into the short description.

    Is this looked at as copied content to SEO?
    Eg. Google sees this as duplicate content, even though it is on the same page?

    Cant find the answer anywhere, thanks in advance.

    SEO questions are likely best asked elsewhere. I would say yes, this would negatively affect your SEO. Keep the Short and Long description unique.

    I appreciate the theory behind duplicate content, however I need to know if the “WOO COMMERCE” plugin shows the short and long description to google or does it “no follow” one of them?

    When using a SEO plugin by Yoast it seems to only include data from the long description?

    So if I only want to use the short description is it getting recognised?

    I have asked seo Experts and they have all sent me here. Hooray.
    Hope someone can answer my question please.
