Short Description field missing

    After months putting this site together I find the Product Short Description field has disappeared.

    I’ve deactivated ALL plugins except Woocommerce
    I’ve restarted my Mac

    Should I reinstall Woocommerce? Can I do that without losing data. I have regular backups thru Updraft plugin, but have never had to use it and don’t want to find out it doesn’t work either.

    To clarify above– the field disappears only in the back-end, the front-end of the site looks fine.

    Hi there,

    If you scroll to the top of the edit product page, then click on the Screen Options tab it will open up. It will look like this: http://cld.wthms.co/Vjnkbx

    Does Product short description have a check in the box next to it? If not, please check the box. That should make it reappear in its usual location further down the page.

    Sorry, thought of that and it doesn’t work. Not only is the Short Description field missing but also the product data field.

    Also I’m getting three boxes referring to custom fields, that I’m not used to seeing. They refer to a field called “Test”, which I added thru the Advanced Bulk Editor plugin, but also a field for Total Sales, Notes, and two called wpiudacb_disable_add_to_cart and wpiudacb_inqure_us_link

    Would one of you “Happiness Engineers” please reply to my topic? I am not “Happy” with your support so far. Your product is broken and I need help fixing it. Please respond.

    Hi, @omigosh!

    Those custom fields are being added by https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-add-to-cart-woocommerce/

    As for the “Product data” and ‘Product short description” not showing up .. it isn’t something I can replicate using the latest versions of WordPress + WooCommerce core. It is likely some custom code added to your theme’s “functions.php” file or another plugin hiding it

    If you send me your System stats, I’d be happy to take a closer look and see if anything there stands out to me. You’ll find the status under ‘WooCommerce > Status” page
